LightForce braces are custom 3D-printed brackets individually designed for each patient. If you need braces to fix your teeth or jaw misalignment, we’re using LightForce Orthodontics to offer you a state-of-the-art approach to treatment.
What Is LightForce Orthodontics?
LightForce is the first digitally planned and 3D-printed orthodontic system to create fully customized orthodontic braces. This treatment is an excellent alternative to traditional metal braces because these clear braces are custom designed and printed to fit your teeth perfectly.
The unique design of LightForce brackets enables us to treat our patients in a more predictable and efficient manner and makes your total treatment time shorter. There are also fewer office appointments to our office because you’ll need fewer adjustments.
The Accurate The LightForce System
Over the years, there have been many orthodontic innovations, but LightForce Orthodontics is an advancement that merges the power of computers and 3D technology with orthodontics. The LightForce system allows Dr. Stavisky and Dr. Stern to obtain the most accurate model of your teeth and create a set of braces to fit them.
Treatment Software
If you choose to be treated with LightForce Braces, we will take a three-dimensional scan of your teeth to document the exact size and shape of your teeth. Then, we’ll send your scan to LightForce using the cloud-based LightForce software to create an individualized treatment plan.
This digital plan outlines the expected movement of your teeth and allows us to create, adjust and approve fully customized treatment plans based on the current alignment of your teeth and your individualized treatment needs.
Indirect Bonding
Your Lightforce treatment plan incorporates two key 3D-printed components: the tray and the braces. Once Dr. Stavisky or Dr. Stern approves your plan, LightForce will 3D-print the trays and the braces that we need to move your teeth.
We’ll use a custom LightTray, which is 3D printed from a special material to increase the accuracy, fit, and speed in which we can bond your brackets to your teeth. The custom-printed LightForce trays allow us to apply your brackets to your teeth with more precise bracket placement for more effective treatment.
The system allows us to place the brackets precisely where you need them on each individual tooth and to control movement so your teeth will shift exactly the way they should.
While braces are traditionally bonded to the teeth one bracket at a time, the LightTray helps your Stavisky Orthodontics team bond an entire set of brackets to your teeth in under an hour.
Cloud & Light Brackets
LightForce uses a 3D printer to create a set of individually designed brackets made of ceramic polycrystalline alumina, an attractive and highly durable type of ceramic.
These translucent brackets have a very aesthetic appearance and look less noticeable when compared to traditional metal braces.
